How Does a SimpleLift Differ from Other Advertised "Mini-Lifts"?

Dr. Palma has more than 25 years of experience with all techniques of cosmetic surgery, especially facial cosmetic surgery. He performs 100% of each step of the surgical procedure himself. Patients come to him because of his expertise, experience and reputation. He trained at some of the top medical institutions in the world (Harvard Medical School graduate, Plastic Surgery Residency at Stanford University) and has a well-earned reputation as one of the top Plastic Surgeons in South Florida.
(See Meet Dr. Palma).

Most nationally advertised "mini-facelifts" or limited facelifts are performed in facilities run by businessmen as a business, not a medical practice. Your initial evaluation and Consultation in that setting is usually performed by someone other than the Plastic Surgeon who will be actually doing your surgery. They frequently hire new and sometimes inexperienced surgeons who may not have enough business in their own practices, surgeons with Board Certification in specialties other than Plastic Surgery and sometimes foreign medical graduates, to perform the procedures. Since they usually have multiple surgeons, the facility will most likely assign the one to perform your surgery without your input or choice in the matter. Their surgeons are usually employees and may be "here today, gone tomorrow".

Dr. Palma is fond of saying: " In my practice, patients are treated as individuals, with the dignity and respect they deserve. New patients see me, the surgeon, from the get go. My initial consultation is detailed and thorough, with safety and results as the main goals. I will not recommend any procedure unless I firmly believe that it is the best and safest for the patient. There is never any sales pressure to get the patient to schedule the procedure.

The surgery is performed 100% by me, without rush, and with attention to each and every detail to optimize the results. I also personally supervise every step of the pre- and post-operative care on each patient. I plan on being around for many years and each patient is assured of access to me personally, as their personal surgeon, for as long as it takes."

No two faces or necks are alike. With years of experience, Dr. Palma has learned what works and what does not; what is safe and what is not. Although there are common steps to all SimpleLIFTs, each procedure is unique and tailored to the individual patient. This is the only way to achieve the best results for each patient. Some commercially managed surgical facilities use more of a "cookie-cutter" approach, performing basically the same procedure on most, if not all patients.

Other techniques for lifting the neck and jowls being offered around the country use various "Threads" or "Strings". Practitioners offering these techniques usually promise results with minimal or no scars. These procedures are sometimes performed by dermatologists or other practitioners with no formal surgical training. The results from these procedures have more often than not been temporary at best and for the most part very disappointing. The SimpleLIFT does not use any of these devises. (See "What is a SimpleLIFT")

Dr. Palma is an expert in cosmetic surgery and cosmetic medicine. Many of his SimpleLIFT patients take advantage of this and undergo additional procedures. (See FAQ's) In other words, his practice is not limited to the SimpleLIFT. He offers each and every one of his patients what he feels is the best treatment to achieve their personal goals.
